New England
From Massachusetts to Maine to Rhode Island, our network of middle and high school educators reaches an estimated 400,000 students. Our district-wide work in the Boston Public Schools has increased significantly and will impact 12,000 students this year. Through a rigorous investigation of the events that led to the Holocaust, as well as other recent examples of hatred and violence, students in a Facing History class learn to combat prejudice with compassion, indifference with participation, and myth and misinformation with knowledge.
Through nine offices in North America, an international hub in London, and educational partnerships that span the globe, Facing History has established itself as the premier educational organization delivering high-quality classroom strategies, content, and lessons for teachers and students.
Changing School Culture
“In Facing History we learned that indifference is the enemy… that each person is worth something, each story is worth something, each story is important, each survivor a miracle, each victim a tragedy, each perpetrator worth trying to understand for the sake of all of us.”
